The first 20 of the 100 best movie poster have been announced. Now comes the next 20. It’s a mixed bag of the surreal, pop and minimalist art. The history of cinema can be traced through it’s poster art. The older the films, the more dynamic the movie posters are. Today’s movie posters seem to lack the artistic flair of posters even ten years prior.

Much to my surprise, 1981 and 1982 were great years for movie posters. Five of the twenty posters listed are from those two years and are some of the most iconic posters ever. If you haven’t seen the first 20 posters, take a moment and check them out before seeing these.
