Reworking Titles is a project by graphic artist Dan Sherratt where he re-vamps and re-imagines film posters so that they become all new different levels of awesome. To see all the additions in this project click here.
Dan’s thoughts on this poster:
Edward Scissorhands sits at the top (or very close to the top) of my favourite films from childhood (see also: The People Under The Stairs, Critters, Tremors, Beetlejuice).
Released in 1991, I would have been about 9 or 10 by the time it made it’s way on to the small screen. Burton captured my imagination throughout the 90′s and this certainly won’t be the only title of his I’ll be working on. This piece is inspired by the work of Rob Ryan, who creates incredibly intricate paper cuts using single sheets of paper – watching Edward Scissorhands kind of reminded me of him.
