Playing High Noon on iPhone, you pretty much have to watch this film's trailer three times a day. I don't have a problem with the film's originality but the trailer is just the most cliched thing Hollywood has produced in ages. Low male voice saying pointless things that are written on screen anyway? Check. Slow beginning working up to screaming climax? Check? Lots of CGI cars being destroyed? Check.

I could not disagree more. To the extent that I wonder if we saw the same film. You are right in that it is not perfect, but what film is? That's a rhetorical question by the way. It is entirely subjective and it depends a lot on what you have invested in the film in the first place. If for example you are a reviewer or critic you have to see it for work. It may not be your type of film but you try to remain objective and give a balanced view. But I have worked with such folk and without naming names, some were blinkered and narrow minded. They voiced their opinions and derided those whose views differed from theirs. That is not to say that all critics are like that or else how would many judge what to spend their hard earned money on at the local multiplex?
Now let us switch to those punters queuing for their tickets. They have reached a decision through numerous means as to which film to go and see, be it trailer, review recommendation from a friend or whatever. Now, as a punter who has forked over to see a film, I make up my mind to try to enjoy it and to get my money's worth. That is not always the end result and there have been a great many films that have left me less than satisfied once the credits have rolled and the lights come up, but this was not one of them. Well at least not in my opinion. I'm not saying you were totally wrong in your summary of the film, but were perhaps a bit too analytical and detached from it. But then that is your job. I can watch films purely for entertainment and enjoyment.

Scarlet Johanson and Katie Holmes are the worst actresses. Paris and Lindsay are bad actresses too but you gotta think, Paris really isn't an actress but a brand name. Lindsay's career days ended after Mean Girls and she isn't getting much work. Megan Fox, I don't think is that bad of an actress but maybe I'm too distracted by her gorgeous looks that I haven't noticed her poor acting skills. Kate Hudson I don't think is too bad either but I've only really seen her in Almost Famous so I have no clue.
